Ferry Ride Jul 15 - Sep 11, 2015

Leaving Newfoundland via overnight ferry.
Return Trip Ferry back to Nova Scotia and on. The ferry ride is ~16 hours, plus loading / unloading time.
Well, we were leaving via Argentia but others arrive in Newfoundland via the ferry.
When leaving Argentia, we lined up for a last drive down the runway at the large, abandoned, US Naval Airbase.
We took an over night ferry from Argentia, Newfoundland, to North Sydney, Nova Scotia. As in other areas of Canada, signs are both in English and French — a bow to Quebec.
Airstreams lined up at the toll booths for the ferry.
MV Atlantic Vision — ferry viewed from a nearby vantage point, backed up to dock, ready to load.
The ferry has 10 decks — five or so for passengers. It carries 728 passengers and 531 cars at 25 knots (29 mpg). The combined length of lanes on multiple decks is 8,000 ft (1.6 mi).
Loading up into one of the cavernous decks of the ferry. The loading ramp moves up and down to load the multiple decks.
A ferry terminal worker smiles as we board the ferry.
Young people hanging out on deck as we leave Argentia.
Looking back on Argentia. Not much there!
The ferry had a nice, spacious lounge. Fellow Airstreamers enjoy some beverages.
Our stateroom on the ferry. Much nicer than what we had on a cruise boat on the "Water Ways of the Czars" cruise in Russia. We were five decks above the main deck. Elevators moved passengers from the depths of the ferry to top level staterooms.

Nice dining room, white table cloths and all. The food was good.
There's a "casino" near the large lounge.
Entrance to formal dining room.
